What’s in Week 19?

In Week 19 I explain how you can get paid to write your blog posts. They’re called sponsored blog posts. Companies are willing to pay you money to write about their company on their blog. Obviously you need to give an objective review so your blog readers can actually trust you to give good information. And you get paid because you are giving exposure to the company. You don’t want all of your blog posts to be sponsored blog posts because you want to keep your blog on track for its original purpose. But it’s always nice to be paid a chunk of dough to write every once in awhile, when you were going to have to post something on your blog anyway.

Besides explaining how to get sponsored blog posts. I also give other blogging tips throughout the week, such as how to encourage your readers to leave comments.

What I Did This Week:

What did I not do? Just kidding. It was a busy week, but I managed to get some stuff done at the house blog. I wrote blog posts, I commented on other blogs, did a bunch of Linky following to get more Linky followers in return, and I’ve been arranging guest posts and sponsored blog posts at the house blog.

Also, I sent my Bloom into Spring Exchange package to my partner, and I’ll be receiving what my partner sent me in a few days. On April 18th, we are all supposed to blog about what we got from our partners on our blog and everyone is going to link up to the house blog, and also my co-host’s blog.

I also need to do the window cleaner giveaway. I did clean some windows and took some before and after shots, so now I just need to get that post up. Then 3 lucky people will win a 3 pack of the window cleaner. Everyone who enters will get one entry per task that they complete: Like 1house1couple and the window cleaning company on Facebook, follows us both on Twitter, Tweets about the giveaway on Twitter, blogs about the giveaway on their blog, email subscribes to 1house1couple, and follows 1house1couple through Linky Followers and/or Networked Blogs. So if they do all of those things, they have better odds of winning.

Case Study Blog Stats:

Here is a chart for the entire month of March, as compared to January and February. You’ll notice that the blog is growing in all aspects.
