Just write. Write what you are writing about. Don’t think about the number of keywords, or the right keywords. Just write what you are trying to say. If you write a quality article or blog post, you will rank high in Google. Google is constantly updating their algorithm, so there is no point in trying to figure it out. They will just change it once you do!
Also, don’t forget, that although Google is the number one search engine, some people don’t ever use Google. They like Yahoo or Bing, etc. And then there are all those tiny search engines we’ve never heard of. Just write good content and you’ll rank higher in the search engine. When you write crap, that is when Google “slaps” you.
I’m so sick of seeing people say that you need to do keyword research and then use that keyword 1 time in the first paragraph, then 2 more times throughout an article, but don’t over use your keywords, etc, yaddah yaddah yaddah. Just write. Write without thinking. Write what you’re trying to say. Don’t try to outsmart the search engines. They will find the best stuff. That’s all.
When I stopped worrying about using the right keywords, keyword usage, and the amount of times to use keywords, that is when my page rank grew on any and all sites.
Google likes lots of good content and updated content. Keep writing and you’ll keep ranking for the things you’re writing about. Over time your page rank will grow if you continue to deliver value to your readers.
Not to mention, good content is how to keep readers coming back (not using the right key words or using the keywords the right amount of times).
For a keywords tip, a good place to use keywords is in your tags/categories.
Sometimes I go a little crazy and add a ton of keywords in my tags, but I don’t care, because that is what my post is about. And tags don’t get in the way of the reader and your post being readable.
Also use a main keyword/keyword phrase in your titles, but make sure your title is attention grabbing and makes people want to read it when they see it! Not only is your title visible when you share it on social media, on your blog’s homepage, recent posts, or popular posts, but your title also shows up when people search in the search engines.
Stay interesting. Write content that people want/need to read. Write content that people will want to share.
