You Alone Got Yourself Where You Are

Key to successYep, it’s true. 99% of the time (however, not actually statistically proven), we are in a situation because of a choice, or some choices, that we made in the past.

Obviously our childhood affects us. How people treated us, what people taught us, and even how rich our parents are.

But when it comes down to it, you either make good choices or bad choices.

What’s it gonna be?

We all have way more power over our lives than we think. It’s all about priorities. What is really important to us? If something is really important to you, you will do whatever it takes. You may think that creating an easy life for yourself is what you really want, but are your actions in line with your goals?

By now, we all have the resources we need to succeed in every aspect of life, basically at our fingertips. If you have a problem, you can research it online. You can learn from what other people did in the same situation. There are forums online about everything, and I mean everything. If you have a problem, chances are, other people have been in your boat, and they can help you get out of high waters and on to dry land. They’ve been there done that, and they did what it took to find a solution to their problem. Now all you have to do is do what made them successful in that particular situation.

I’m not saying everything you read online is trustworthy, but if you do enough research you can figure out what’s true and what’s BS.

The question is, do you really want to solve your problems, or do you just want to keep living life the same way, day in and day out? Because, let’s face it, it’s easier. It’s familiar. It’s comfortable. Change is hard, and very few people want to deal with it or change their routine, even if it means you get to live a better life for it. It’s just easier to wake up at the same time every day and do the same thing you’ve always done. You’re used to it. Your body and mind naturally gravitate toward doing what you’ve always done.

We all know how to lose weight. It’s not complicated. Get to work. Exercise and eat healthier. It’s that simple. However, the hard part is changing your routine.

We even know how to make more money, it’s just a matter of putting to practice some things we don’t normally do because it takes a bit more effort each day. You can work an extra hour every day toward accomplishing your financial goals, whatever that may be. Whether you’re working for yourself, or trying to impress a boss, going above and beyond never hurts. It’s laziness, or just the fact that we’re tired, that keeps us from accomplishing our goals.

So you need motivation. And quite frankly, your motivation needs to come from within. It can’t come from an outside source because that will disappear. Only you can hold yourself up and make yourself do what it takes. So you need to have it in you, not have someone holding your hand telling you to do it.

Writing down your goals and having them in a visible place every day could create a good source of motivation that actually comes from you. And if you don’t change your behaviors based on what you think you want to do, then you probably aren’t really that dedicated to those goals.

If you really want an easier life, it is in reach. You just have to do what it takes. It’s not that you don’t know what to do, it’s just that it’s hard to make adjustments in life. But if you really want something, you will work for it.

The key to success is always you.

You are right that the hard part is getting ourselves into action and changing our routines!

Hi Christy, yes. It’s not the knowledge we need. We have the knowledge. We need to take action.

      Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Wise words Lisha. Completely agree with you.

I’ve seen people who happens to know everything about quit smoking. Well it all comes down to decide a day in your life from which you are never gonna smoke neither one cigarette. Some of them try to reduce the number of cigarettes but eventually it’s like they never stopped. It’s just fooling yourself.

The same goes with life, business…determinations and strong beleifs can lead you to success.

Btw, I’m not a smoker and never have been :).

    Great post as usual.

Hi Dragan, yeah I agree. My grandma decided to quite smoking one day and she just did it. She never smoked another cigarette in her life from that day on. She did end up with lung cancer, but had she not quit sooner, she probably would have developed lung cancer earlier.

You are so right. Our life today is only because of the choices that we have made in our past. Just don’t let the choice that you have made in the past still affect your life in the present. You can always move on from bad choices and learn from them and not do them again.

You attract what you truly desire, but it does not come to you because you desire it. It comes from putting work in. This is what so many people get wrong when it comes to the topic of Law of Attraction. Nicely written and putting it into simple terms – something that many people cannot seem to do.

I have been thinking a lot about this lately, and I completely agree! Our choices get us to where we are, and we have to make the choice and take action if there is something we want to achieve. Thank you for the post!
