What’s in It and What Did I Do?
Blog and Retire Week 47 gives tips about doing a giveaway on the blog. Most of the time in life, in order to get something, you have to give something. If you want more exposure, hosting a giveaway on your blog can really do wonders. As I’ve said before, I don’t do everything in Blog and Retire, and I don’t do the things I do in exact order. I’m the one who wrote it, so I know what’s in it, so I basically just do everything when I want to. I wrote a post about hosting a giveaway back in Week 32. Check it out here.
Along with that, Blog and Retire Week 47 has 47 more tips and tasks. That’s how extensive Blog and Retire is. I didn’t want to leave anything out.
This week I’ve been on vacation, so I worked double time last week to get posts ready for the time I was going to be on the road, relaxing, hiking in the mountains, or checking out new beaches. You have the choice to either let your blog go stale, or schedule posts ahead of time, so your readers continue to get fresh content from you even while you’re on vacation. So I barely have to visit the computer at all while I’m on my trip. It’s very nice. Usually, because I won’t be interacting as much on social media and such, my pageviews will take a hit during a vacation. I’ll get about 70% of pageviews compared to normal. Which isn’t so bad considering I’m doing absolutely nothing myself to get readers to my blog.
Having other bloggers guest post on your blog is the best because they can tell their readers on their blog that they guest posted on your blog and send their readers over to your blog. Plus they’ll no doubt be adding your link to the post on their blog as well, which will probably be there forever, thus giving me an eternal little boost in pagerank.
Case Study Blog Stats
I’m skipping stats this week because I’m currently on a trip. I’ll be back next week with current October stats for the house blog. Subscribe by entering your email below to stay updated and see how it all turns out!
