What is the Blog and Retire case study?

What’s in It and What Did I Do?

Week 51 is about blog business organization. It’s easy to get all disorganized with all the things you’re doing, and now is the time to get everything back in order. Just like you organize what’s on and in your desk, you have to organize what’s on/in your computer and on/in your blog, and how your blog functions, and all the behind the scenes stuff you do with your blog and blog promotion.

By the end of a year of an online business, you’re bound to also have a ton of passwords to different online accounts. Stop wasting time emailing yourself your password every time you want to log into some site. But also, be careful where you store your passwords. Also don’t make all your passwords to everything the same. Especially financial accounts should have their own unique password. And your bank account password should be different than your PayPal password, etc. It’s time to get all of that organized.

Besides getting organized. Week 51 has 47 other tasks with tips to help you gain more traffic and earn that moola.

The only thing I’ve done for the house blog in the past week is write two blog posts. That’s it. Traffic is still coming in steadily, just look below.

Case Study Blog Stats

Here are the house blog stats for November so far:

  • Unique Visitors: 3,390
  • Number of Visits: 7,617
  • Number of Pageviews: 19,193
  • Number of Hits: 86,889
  • Links around the web: 489
  • Search Keyphrases: 506
  • Twitter Tweets: 5,316, Following: 3,040, Followers: 2,806
  • Fans on 1house1couple’s Facebook page: 221

Everything is holding steady. If I did more work to build more traffic, it would be growing, but it’s definitely stayed steady for the last few months, and even now when I’m literally doing barely anything for the blog or blog traffic, the traffic remains at this level. So if I was doing all of those 47 tasks in week 51 (and all the other weeks for that matter) I would be getting a hell of a lot more traffic, and therefore have a higher capability to make even more money. I’ve only got one week to go until I get to celebrate my house blog’s blogiversary. It’s cool to make it to that milestone. Come back next week to see the Week 52 update. The one year milestone.
