Why I’m Taking a Step Back from Blog and Retire

Hey everyone,

This message is to let you know that I’m taking a step back from Blog and Retire to re-focus and align my actions with my priorities in life.

We all need to make sure that what we’re doing is truly in line with our goals and priorities, and at the moment, Blog and Retire is not one of them. It is my baby, but at this point, Blog and Retire is all grown up and it’s time for my grown up baby to move out of the house.

I’ve been spreading myself thin with everything I’ve been doing in life, trying to run too many online businesses and trying to save the world, and now it’s time for me to focus on what’s really important in life. Although Blog and Retire is important to me, and all of you are important to me, I am just one person and I can only do so much, so something’s got to give.

So I am putting a halt to all my online business ventures that aren’t financially worth it. Sometimes you just have to look at the facts and figures and put your working time where the money is. But that’s not why I’m doing this. It’s actually not about the money at all. It’s about my life and spending my time on what’s truly important. So if I’m going to spend my time on business right now, it should only be on the businesses that are bringing in an income, otherwise, at this point in my life, I can’t take on anything else that isn’t being fruitful enough.

So I’m lessening the amount of work I’m doing so I can spend more time on the things that are truly important in life.

I hope you take this as an example for your own life and re-examine what you’re doing with your life and how you’re spending your time. Is what you’re doing really fruitful, or is it really just a time sucker, taking you away from what (or who) is really important in life?

I have truly enjoyed growing Blog and Retire and all I’ve learned along the way. Feel free to keep coming back to explore the archives. There’s a lot!

You can also still sign up for Blog and Retire University, which is a one year course to blogging for income. It tells you what to do, when to do it, and how to do it, step-by-step, day-by-day, 1 hour per day, 6 days per week, for 52 weeks. Plus you get a whole bunch of other goodies and resources that are only available to paid members. I have this all set up on an automated system, so you can get it any time, no matter where I am in the world. It’s just a one time fee and you’re a member forever. Click here to get access.

Blog and Retire will remain here, I’m just taking a step back. I’m not falling off the face of the planet. I’m simply realigning my priorities and the way I spend my time. I may come back again one day to keep growing this resource for all of you online business and blogging nerds out there, like me ;)

Also, just FYI, Blog and Retire will not be accepting new advertisers or guest contributors until further notice.

As far as the time I spend on “work,” I will be continuing with my social media marketing business, helping small businesses, entrepreneurs, blogs, and startups build their brand and get more exposure, traffic, leads, and sales from Twitter and Facebook, as that has really become my expertise. So if you need help with any of that, please feel free to visit My prices have been cut in half so I can help more people who have a smaller budget.

All the best of luck to you in all your ventures, whether in business or in life!
