Intuit Launches Free Online Resource for Entrepreneurs Starting a Business

Millions of businesses are started each year, but only about two-thirds of them make it through the first two years alive! Speaking from personal experience, starting your first successful business can come with a lot of unforeseen obstacles. When I first tried blogging and internet marketing, my first 10 blogs or so flopped! I had no idea what I was doing! Fortunately, you won’t have to go through all the trial and error that I did.

Intuit has launched a free online resource for entrepreneurs who would like to start a business, to get you off on the right foot. I repeat, it’s free! I wish I had this tool when I first started my own business online. Finances are slim if any at all, so budding entrepreneurs need all the help they can get, especially in the beginning stages.

I can’t stress enough how important it is to get the first steps right in order for your business to make it and thrive for the long term, earning you profits sooner, rather than later.

Keeping your stress levels in check during the kickoff of your new business is paramount. Intuit’s new guide “How to Start a Business” will take you by the hand as you go through an important checklist, keeping your mind free from the worry of remembering whether you’ve taken all the necessary steps. Not only that, but you’ll also be allotting all your time on the things that actually matter, rather than wasting your time on things you don’t really need.

Intuit understands that there are six primary areas needed to successfully launch and run a business–so they created this online tool around that premise. The six areas are:

  • “Setting Up” (to determine the business’ legal entities and requirements)
  • “Getting Paid” (how do you plan to accept payments?)
  • “Creating a Website” (for selling online and developing your brand & image)
  • “Doing Accounting” (you gotta keep track of income and expenses)
  • “Hiring Employees” (how to hire & how to manage)
  • “Getting Advice” (for when you need more help than internet research can give)

I have personally taken a look through each of these steps and can confidently say Intuit has covered all grounds. From naming your business and hiring employees, to how you’re going to accept payments, keep your finances in order, create a website, deal with legal questions and more, Intuit has got your back.

The guide is very user-friendly and interactive, with a clean interface that is easy to navigate or jump from one section to another. I highly recommend checking it out if you are even considering launching a new business any time soon.

And while you’re at it, you can check out Intuit’s other resources that are extremely helpful for entrepreneurs, like QuickBooks and QuickBooks Self Employed.

Now let’s hear from you! Are you planning on turning your idea into a business in the coming year?
